The Allegheny County Democratic Committee on Thursday selected Barb Warwick as its nominee for a November special election to fill a vacant seat on Pittsburgh City Council. Warwick, 45, of Pittsburgh’s Greenfield neighborhood, was chosen by committee members to be the party’s candidate for a special election on Nov. 8
Warwick's win means she will face Republican Eugene Bokor in the special election, which will be included on the Nov. 8 ballot. The district includes areas that include Greenfield, Hazelwood, Lincoln Place and portions of Squirrel Hill.
Party leaders in the 5th Council District will choose one of the four to be their nominee in the November 8th special election. The nominee will be selected September 15th, and will be a strong favorite in the heavily Democratic district.
