TEXARKANA, Ark. - A Bowie County, Texas escapee was shot Monday while being taken into custody.

Arkansas State Police released the name of the Bowie County prison escapee who was captured yesterday and was shot during an alleged altercation between the prisoner and the arresting Texarkana Arkansas police officer.

According to CBS-affiliate KSLA, two inmates were captured after they escaped from a Texarkana jail. One of the inmates was fatally shot by an officer.
