He worked for many, many years to develop a system of education in virginia. Uva was his he said it was his last great project, which he did after he left the white house. He designed the buildings. He designed the curriculum. He served as the first rector of chair of the board of visitors he was intimately involved in details of the building. His vision was its a term that got thrown around today ofan academical vision.
