Trust. do you think based on what youre seeing from this book that people inside donald trumps west wing have respect, regard and trust for this president? >> certainly not in the way michael wolf writes about it. that is going to be the question of how credible the sources are. and savannah guthrie pressed him on his recordings and so forth. i think shannons got it right about how you conduct an interview in the white house. but in our case. and just talking to other people close to president b...

The election. so i think that, that is a political question, and generally wont be the subject of an obstruction charge. as for this stuff on the hill, thats disturbing and certainly goes against the norms you would expect to see out of the department of justice. but again, its politicians practicing politics, which may not be the basis for a criminal charge. >> to that kind of political point, one of the things i found interesting from my reporting last night after michaels story came out -- >>...

The president, some mocking his intelligence. if that was happening in your office, if your staffers felt that way about you, could you run your office properly? could your office function? >> well, obviously, most of those staffers who felt that way are no longer at the white house. i mean, you look at this book, its not a coincidence that the publisher is going to release it quickly. its going to be on the best-seller list. it is about palace intrigue, its about gossip and selling books and ma...
