KidsPeace North Carolina Foster Care and Community Programs will hold its first ever Art Gallery for Hope in honor of Foster Care Awareness Month on Thursday evening.
KidsPeace is an organization that helps with therapeutic foster care. It offers programs to help parents who want to be foster parents understand the aspects of being a foster parent from start to finish.
“Cumberland County has always has high numbers whenever it comes to children waiting in foster care,” said Dominique Womack, a member of the KidsPeace Board of Associates. “So, the reason why I wanted to throw the gala is so that we can raise more awareness of the fact that we do need children to be placed. We do need children to find their forever home. Right now we have children that need stability.”
