Dr. Alaine Gonzalez, K.H.M.H. New COVID-19 equipment for KHMH | The Guardian Newspaper

A million dollars’ worth of equipment was handed over to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital by the Ministry of Health and Wellness for their effort in the fight against COVID-19. They had made requests for these equipment from March 2020 for its COVID-19 Isolation Unit and are now receiving these items. They include beds for the 23 persons which the hospital can accommodate, ventilators, and patient monitoring units. Michelle Hoare, CEO, KHMHA said at the handing over ceremony that the hospital had planned for a 10 bed response for COVID isolation management. The newly received equipment will help to expand the national referral hospital’s capacity which now has 23 beds for COVID-19 confirmed patients and suspected cases. Likewise, the additional ventilators and other high flow machines will do good in expanding the hospital’s capabilities.
