ChatGPT has allegedly failed to comply with the EU's data privacy rules. Garante or the Italian data protection authority (DPA), has officially notified OpenAI that its artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT has breached the European Union's (EU) data privacy rules, Reuters reports.
The European Commission announced two calls for contributions on Tuesday, focusing on competition within virtual worlds and generative artificial intelligence (AI), particularly Microsoft’s investment in ChatGPT developer OpenAI.
The suit alleges that the use of Microsoft's Bing search generates responses containing verbatim excerpts and detailed summaries of New York Times articles.
