Crusaders Walk it Off to Wrap Up Baseball Season

Apr 29, 2021 The Christendom Crusaders came back in a dramatic walk-off win on Saturday to wrap up their season, defeating Mid-Atlantic Christian University 12-10 at home. The game was the second of a doubleheader against Mid-Atlantic Christian, who won the first game 3-1. The Mustangs immediately continued their momentum from the first game, scoring three in the first inning against the Crusaders before putting two more on the board in the third. Down 5-0, the Crusaders had an offensive explosion in the fourth inning, scoring seven runs thanks to timely hitting from Stephen Buonocore and Michael Mesch and untimely errors from the Mustangs. In the fifth inning, the back and forth between the Crusaders and the Mustangs continued, with the Mustangs scoring 3 in the top of the inning before the Crusaders tied the game 8-8 in the bottom of the fifth.
