A sharp cold wind took down the banner over the door that read Glover Together, but it didn’t matter because, for the first time in a year, Glover School staff and students were together again under one roof Monday morning.
“I’m thrilled to be back,” said first-grade teacher Carrie Killeen. “We’ve been working towards this day for a long time.”
It was almost a year to the day that Marblehead public schools shut their doors as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Students were sent home in March, went to remote learning in April and started on a hybrid schedule in September. On Monday, March 15, students in grades K-6 all returned to a five half-day per week schedule.
