Measures to be put in place pending completion of ‘complex’ €50m flood relief scheme for town at risk of flooding from four separate sources

Cork County Council was as prepared as any agency could be for the unprecedented rainfall which in less than ten minutes led to some 250 properties in Midleton and hundreds of other properties elsewhere in East Cork being flooded, according to Council Chief Executive, Valerie O’Sullivan.
