2016. all of these are variables. all of them reflect the trump effect on politics. it s large. it s big. it feels primal, and in some ways emotionally it is. eli, i was at a political rally in jacksonville, florida, yesterday, and i talked to a number of voters, and they bear this out. new poll shows health care the top issue this election year. regardless of party, health care, 71% of voters saying it s very important in deciding who they will send to congress. republicans have vowed to protect pre-existing conditions on the campaign trail despite many of them supporting the repeal and replace for several years. are republicans at all risking blowback on health care in the midterms? they are. i think those numbers show you how much the public opinion has shifted towards obamacare, even though it s not called that anymore, even though the president has changed.
