Workers had concerns about employer's compliance with COVID orders
The plaintiffs alleged a common law claim that they were wrongfully terminated for refusing to violate state law and for exercising their rights. The state law at issue was the governor’s Executive Order No. 2020-59 and the director of Michigan’s Department of Health and Human Services’ Emergency Order Pursuant to MCL 33.2253 (MDHHS EO-April 2, 2020).
