'They can be quite aggressive': Geese need their space during nesting season

KITCHENER Every spring, Canada geese can become very territorial. Guelph Humane Society Associate Director Lisa Veit says that s because late March to late April is considered nesting season in Canada. “They can be quite aggressive and this is really the efforts of the birds to defend their nest, she said. The humane society has been receiving increased calls recently from residents complaining and asking questions about the birds. Veit says the best thing to do is give them extra room for about a month, describing it as “a small inconvenience.” “This is a great opportunity for us to practice some patience and tolerance with the wildlife that we share our community with, she said. They need their space.”

St. Clair asked to consider bus route between Sarnia and township

Author of the article: Carl Hnatyshyn Publishing date: Apr 21, 2021  •  1 hour ago  •  4 minute read  •  Article content St. Clair Township council is talking about the potential of a proposed bus service between Sarnia and the township. In correspondence received by the township in early April from the acting manager of transit for the City of Sarnia Michelle Carter, Carter asked if St. Clair was interested in discussing transit services between the two communities, as Sarnia had recently expanded its services to Aamjiwnaang First Nation and had been receiving requests from Corunna residents interested in such a possibility.
