A boat chase on Lake Winnipesaukee in Gilford ended with the boater in custody on Thursday.
New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol said the chase that began on the water, ended on the land when the boat driver showed up here to marine patrol and turned himself in.Sign up for our Newsletters
Just after 6 p.m., people began to see commotion out on the water and onshore.
“There were two marine patrol boats next to him, looked like they were talking to him, then he gunned it again,” witness Mike Cazalas said. “Hear the police saying, ‘Stop the boat, stop the boat,’ and off they went again.”
