Baltimore water officials are still searching for the cause of the E. coli contamination that left people in West Baltimore without safe, drinkable water for days.

A violent encounter unfolded in Baltimore County Saturday night where police say a woman stuck and dragged an off-duty police officer who was in uniform working a secondary job near the White Marsh Mall.

"It's a shame," said one woman as she picked up gallons of bottled water on Thursday. "Yes, we do feel neglected. Sandtown-Winchester is neglected. They make promises that they never keep."

Police were called to the gruesome scene of what appears to be a murder-suicide that left a family of five dead in Elk Mills, Maryland on Friday morning.

Hundreds of people picked up clean, bottled drinking water as a boil order remains in effect for much of West Baltimore. Tests over the weekend showed a possible E. coli contamination, which can cause severe digestive issues.

Baltimore officials are encouraging residents to boil water used for drinking or cooking after E. coli bacteria was detected in some samples of the water supply.

An EF-2 tornado tore an 11.25-mile path of devastation through Anne Arundel County on Wednesday, and people are still cleaning up the mess.
