The site is surrounded by housing, the city park and the public safety building. It’s not prime open space. Still, most of the city-owned acreage on the site will remain undeveloped.
The city is working with a San Rafael-based nonprofit and developer to use 1.75 acres of the 13-acre property for a four-story, podium-style building with 45 residences all 100% affordable.
