With the spate of crimes against women over recent weeks, the Opposition People s National Party (PNP) has said it is deeply troubled by what the party cited as increasing lawlessness in the country.
Additionally, the party said it is likewise troubled about the lack of any discernible strategy to stem the tide as the island experiences panic, concern and a certain numbness from the repeated reports of fatal attacks and abductions of women.
In a statement on Wednesday, Opposition Leader, Mark Golding, outlined several recent incidents which he said deepened the sense of vulnerability among women, demoralising the entire population .

Detectives attached to the Kingston Western Division are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 50-year-old Millicent Robinson of Benbow Street, Kingston 12, whose body was found in a shallow grave at her home on Saturday, April 3.
Reports from the Admiral Town police are that about 12:06 pm, lawmen, acting on information that Robinson was missing went to her home, and during a search of the yard, the investigators discovered what proved to be a shallow grave.
The body, wrapped in plastic, was exhumed and removed to the morgue pending a post mortem examination.
