The story of the 1921 Drishanebeg Train Ambush marking its centenary is available in print and on a new Information Board erected outlining details of the Ambush and key events during the War of Independence. A new book co-inciding with the centenary of the Drishanebeg Train Ambush, entitled Worth the Wait is available this weekend recalling the daring deeds of Millstreet Volunteers who carried out a planned operation against Crown forces travelling by train between Mallow and Killarney in early 1921.
