BOCA RATON, Fla. â A Delray Beach resident is among an exclusive group of Hooters waitresses who have been selected to compete in the 2021 Miss Hooters Pageant.
Five Hooters waitresses from Miami to Sarasota have earned a spot to compete in the annual pageant, which was canceled last year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Among them is Gianna Tulio, who has been working at the Hooters in Boca Raton for four years.
Wes Welker started his professional career as an
undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech and signed with the Miami Dolphins. He spent time with both the Dolphins and Chargers as a rookie, but failed to make much of an impact with either franchise.
Welker
joined the Patriots in 2007 and emerged as a primary weapon for star quarterback Tom Brady. While a member of the Patriots, Welker played in two Super Bowls.
During
Super Bowl XLII against the New York Giants, Welker caught 11 passes for 109 yards but didn’t score a touchdown. The Patriots were defeated 17-14.
Super Bowl XLVI in 2011 was a rematch between the Giants and Pats, but once again New England was stunned by the underdogs.
