Learners from 24 countries build technical and employment skills in a collaborative community through MIT Emerging Talent, part of the Jameel World Education Lab at MIT Open Learning.
Through MIT Refugee Action Hub (ReACT), Afghan learner Tahmina completed her Certificate in Computer Science and Data Science, the MIT Innovation Leadership Bootcamp program, and the Global Apprenticeship Program pilot.
The first annual Migration Summit, organized by MIT ReACT, MIT J-WEL, Na’amal, Karam Foundation, and Paper Airplanes, highlighted the experiences of refugees, migrants, and displaced learners, plus current efforts across the education and workforce development landscape.
Displaced Afghan learners are being supported by the MIT Refugee Action Hub (ReACT)’s certificate program in computer and data science. The program has been supported by the MIT Afghan Working Group, provost, and associate provost for international activities.
