A little more than a year since the disastrous government shut down by a do nothing congress. They agreed on a spending bill that will keep the government funded through september. Lawmakers have until tomorrow evening to read it before a suspected vote hours ahead before the trigger point of another government shutdown. Republicans only approved funding for the department of Homeland Security until february. Homeland security handles immigration, so the bill will give republicans a chance this winter to block president obamas executive order that protects five million unauthorized immigrants. In this bill however, there is a lot more from federal spending. In the horse trading that prompted this preliminary agreement, both sides agree to the tenfold increase to what donors can give to the international party.
