Authorities in Mitchell are continuing to ask individuals to stay off the streets and roads, as the city attempts to recover from 23 inches of snow over two days.
“They (Millennium) are looking at increasing rates, but they are not going to raise ours since our material is so clean,” Public Works Director Joe Schroeder said of Mitchell's recycling program.
For council member John Doescher, it didn’t make sense giving an "out-of-jurisdiction sanitation company” a break to haul waste to the Mitchell landfill.
