Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday moved the Delhi High Court seeking direction to quash three summons issued by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for questioning in connection with the land-for-jobs scam case.

All candidates who were hired as substitutes were later regularised.

Irregular appointments were made in Central Railway, violating the laid down norms and procedures of Indian Railways for recruitment, CBI stated in its chargesheet files in connection with the alleged land-for-job scam.

The chairperson of the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Priyank Kanoongo, on Wednesday accused the police of not registering an FIR in connection with the trafficking of five minor girls in Bihar and sought the intervention of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the matter.
