© Spaceshift Studio Connecting the residence and the office with outdoor terraces on both levels, in effect, makes an architectural compound of nine quarters demarcated by four lines (#) a nod to the classic nine-square-grid pedagogical instrument. On the small plot of 480 sqm, the additional programs necessitate minimizing perimeter setback on all sides, which results in the spatial configuration that internalizes gardens and open spaces. © Spaceshift Studio Two green courtyards occupy two of the nine quarters, while the center is left entirely open to the sky. Bedroom and office pavilions on the upper level are high-ceilinged, arranged in separate corners, and enveloped in black latticed facades. Open terrace, verandah and walkway connect the pavilions. The spatial characteristics resemble that of the traditional Thai house (Ruen Thai), in which individual pavilions –bedrooms (Ruen Non), living + dining area (Hor Nang), kitchen (Ruen Krua) are clustered around an open ter

At its eastern entrance, COSA is responsible for the coordination of the Block I project and for supporting DEA architectes and Denu & Paradon architecture in the design of the apartment buildings. © Camille Gharbi COSA is also developing a 340-spots overground car park, a mixed-use residential and office building, and the central area of the block.  The mixed-use building consists of a two-storey plinth containing amenities, with housing units above.

Brooks + Scarpa Reveals Proposal for Miami s Aquatic Center and Park

Copy Brooks + Scarpa along with PCL and BEA, design/build team is one of three finalists selected for a new community mixed-use complex. Located in the heart of Miami Beach, just one block west of the beach, the structure that replaces a municipal surface parking lot, will include pools, libraries, retail, a community center, and a 3-acre park. Designed as a resiliency hub, the building can accommodate future residential and office use when less parking is needed. Brooks + Scarpa has imagined Miami’s beach aquatic center and park. Part of international competition, the proposal generates a mixed-use parking structure is in the heart of Miami Beach, including a 50-meter competition pool, a 25-meter multi-purpose pool, a 7500 square feet branch library, 10, 000 square feet of retail, a teen center, fitness center among others. Located in an emerging town center core that is reinvesting in a walkable and livable district, the project puts in place a 3-acre park.
