In Mizoram s politics, regional parties always play a major role. In 2018, BJP s NDA ally MNF scored a massive victory win with 26 seats in the kitty. The MNF, along with the primary opposition party, the ZPM, and the Congress, have each fielded 40 candidates. A total of 174 candidates, including 18 women, are in the fray for the Mizoram Assembly Election 2023.
