Travelers on Indiana's I-69 saw an unusual sight on Saturday morning - camels, zebras, and a miniature horse roaming the side of the highway. They were circus animals that were rescued after the tractor-trailer carrying them caught fire. Officers led the animals out of the smoke-filled trailer. None of them were harmed, but two officers were treated for smoke inhalation. The animals were on their way to Fort Wayne with the Mizpah Shrine Circus.
Indiana police rescued five zebras, four camels and one miniature horse from the blaze — before corralling the wandering menagerie from the interstate.
