A Joburg councillor arrested along with 22 other people in connection with the hijacking of a R40m building that belongs to the city says he is owed a "big apology" after being released without any charge.
A Johannesburg city councillor was arrested on Wednesday as officials inspected a city-owned site earmarked to house victims of the Albert Street fire.
Only one of the 23 people arrested in connection with the hijacking of a property appeared in the Johannesburg magistrate's court on Friday, with the councillor implicated earlier this week released without charge.
