MOBERLY The Moberly Area Community College Board of Trustees announced that Dr. Todd Martin has been selected to serve as MACC’s next president. Martin has served as MACC’s vice president for Instruction and chief academic officer for the past five years and will assume the role of president on July 1, 2024. Martin will succeed MACC’s current president, Dr. Jeff Lashley, who recently announced his retirement after 28 years of service to the college.

Approving purchases of equipment to support a new Wind Technology program highlighted business matters conducted by Moberly Area Community College Board of Trustees at its May 24 meeting.
As a result of receiving a Community Development Block Grant last September for a Workforce Training Initiative to establish a full mechanical electronics lab and wind technician certificate program to the college s Kirksville campus, MACC trustees gave their blessing for three pieces of equipment totaling about $202,000 be purchased to help support that program.
College students who enroll with this new program that begins next fall may have the opportunity to learn more about the subject in person as Adair County area recently had 175 wind turbines owned by Ameren Missouri go online, which happens to be the largest wind farm operation in the state.
