The Kirksville Kiwanis Club welcomed fellow Kiwanians Ted Frushour and Kevin Brown to speak at their Aug. 31 meeting. Frushour who serves as club vice president presented a brief history of the Forest Lake Area Trail System (FLATS) and gave an update on their trailhead project. Brown who serves as club secretary for the Moberly Kiwanis Club and is lieutenant governor-elect for Division Five of the Missouri-Arkansas District of Kiwanis International - presented on Kiwanis activities in Moberly. Moberly Chamber celebrates award winners during May 1 banquet

After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet was held May 1 at the 4th Street Theatre. The fundraising and social event brought an entire new atmosphere was created intended to celebrate members and the ability to gather again after a long year of business struggles.
Each year the Chamber honors its members for their achievements and this banquet was no different.
Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce President Heather Martin distributed the Chamber awards, and said. “it is always an honor for the Chamber to be able to recognize achievements. After a year of restrictions with little joy to be found it made these awards and recognitions even more special to give.”
