Police say its operatives kill a notorious bandit and recovered operational motorcycle in Kidandan village of Giwa LGA of Kaduna state.

The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the development in a statement.

The CP urged officers of the police force to sustain the onslaught against banditry and other forms of criminalities in the state.

The Kaduna police command says its operatives have killed a notorious bandit in Kidandan village of Giwa LGA of the state.

Some personnel attached to the 78 Police Mobile Force in the Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State have kicked against the payment of N25,000 out of the N35,000 entitled to them as election allowance.   SaharaReporters earlier reported that the commander of the unit, ACP Tukur Garba refused to pay the officers despite participating in the 2023 general elections.  

  Some personnel attached to the 78 Police Mobile Force in the Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State have accused their Commander, ACP Tukur Garba of corruption and financial mismanagement.   According to some of them who spoke to SaharaReporters, Garba diverts their allowances.   The aggrieved mobile policemen said despite participating in the 2023 general elections, they are yet to receive their entitlements.  

The Sudanese army said in a statement that the RSF moved military columns from the west towards the capital, accusing them of violating the truce.

The Police say the redeployment is in line with the IGP’s mandate and strategies to strengthen the operational structures of commands, departments and formations.

The IGP, Usman Alkali Baba has ordered redeployment of DIGs, AIGs and CPs to departments, commands, and formations.
