After a massive investigation, the US auto safety agency recently announced that claims of sudden unintended acceleration (SUA) incidents by Tesla owners were unfounded, but it seems that some people are still struggling to understand how simple functions such as autopilot and right-foot braking works. A recent incident involving a Tesla Model Y has the owner claiming that the Autopilot system failed to respond in time and caused a rear-end collision with another vehicle.

The Tesla Model Y has been a phenomenal success for the automaker as it continues to ramp up production of the all-electric crossover. Manufactured in California and Shanghai, the Model Y is mechanically very similar to the Model 3 sedan, but its larger size and additional cargo space often make it better suited for families. There was, however, just one problem: it lacked an available third-row seat. That has now been resolved.
Following yesterday s announcement of the three-row Model Y and its new base price tag of $41,900, Tesla has released a couple of images of the new third row and, as expected, it s small. Like crazy small. See for yourself in the images below.

Following news of it becoming the world s most valuable automaker, its allure has become even greater, and with CEO Elon Musk now the richest man in the world, there are no signs of the EV producer slowing down anytime soon. One of its most attractive offerings is the practical Model Y, and everybody wants one. Now, everybody and their cousin will want one, since it just became more affordable and more practical.
A rear-wheel-drive offering has just been released, and on top of that, you can now spec a seven-seater too. The base price of the Model Y is now just $41,900, a saving of around eight grand over the old base model.
