Sisters and Red Hook natives Leslie Carr-Avalos and Julia Carr return home to breathe fresh life into the historic Germantown inn the Central House. Carr-Avalos, who ran San Francisco's Universal Cafe for 21 years, reinvents the brand on the East Coast as the inn's onsite and open-to-the public restaurant serving farm-to-table New American small plates.
