CBSE: Board exams twice a year from 2025: MoE asks CBSE to work out logistics, no plan for semesters

The Ministry of Education has directed the CBSE to plan for conducting board exams twice a year starting from the 2025-26 academic session. However, the introduction of a semester system has been ruled out. The CBSE will consult with school principals to finalize the logistics for the new exam schedule, ensuring that it does not disrupt the undergraduate admission schedule. The move is part of the New Curriculum Framework's initiative to provide students with more opportunities to perform well and retain their best scores.
