Weather Update: Tuesday, December 29
A cold start to this morning so far with temps generally hovering around freezing to start. Skies are mostly clear to start off, but as the main storm out to the west gets wound up, clouds are expected to increase. High pressure will remain close enough through the day time hours to keep things completely dry still. There will be a breeze most of the day. That will have a tendency to keep wind chills in the lower to mid 40s today. By this evening, clouds will completely take over as a warm front surges from the lower Mississippi Valley into the Mid-South by the pre-dawn hours of Wednesday. We still will remain mainly dry, but it will become windier and warmer with temps rising into the early morning hours. Rain looks to arrive in West Tennessee finally by around late Wednesday afternoon and then pretty much continuing through Thursday and Friday morning.

Weather Update: Monday, December 28
Good Morning West Tennessee. it WAS a mild start to the morning, but a cold front has been moving through the region this morning. It is the leading edge of a polar continental air mass. Temperatures will fall through the mid to low 40s through late morning and this afternoon. I do expect temps to flip though at a point and start to rise through about 50 or the upper 40s. Despite this however, it will still feel quite chilly thanks to the northerly wind which will be persistent from the north today between 5-15 mph. Skies should remain mainly cloudy with a few breaks here and there.

Weather Update: Monday, December 21
Good Morning West Tennessee. We have a milder start to the morning with temps hovering in the lower 40s. This is due to a couple reasons. At the surface flow is out of the southwest generally between 10-15 mph and rising heights aloft. That is all being forced by a trough moving across the northern Plains and Midwest. A cold front is situated along the I-70 corridor between Kansas City and Indianapolis. That front will drop south today, but will be a mainly dry passage. The main effect will be cooler tonight and holding temps back tomorrow into the mid to upper 50s. As for the rest of today, we will start the morning off with clouds, but those will disperse through late morning into this afternoon. We should warm nicely to around the upper 50s, maybe 60 if we are lucky! Enjoy it, its a deception. Much colder air will be moving in by the end of the week, in time for Christmas.
