Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Barmm) is implementing a P135 million housing project for former combatants of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, widows, and marginalized sectors in Basilan. The Ministry of Public Works, in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Minister’s Project Kapayapaan sa Pamayanan, is constructing 225 core shelters in Sirongon village, Hadji Mohammad Ajul, Basilan. The project aims to provide core shelters to mujahideen and widows. Groundbreaking ceremony held last week. Construction expected to be completed before the end of this year. Surrender of ASG Bandit Abdurahman Mistirul in Zamboanga City | A member of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) has voluntarily surrendered to authorities in Zamboanga City. Abdurahman Mistirul, 32, turned over an M-16 Armalite rifle and 20 rounds of ammunition.
