facebook Pintrest The City of Joy recently witnessed a street music festival celebrating the undying spirit of art. Musicians from the city as well as the suburbs were a part of it. This colourful and fun-filled musical event saw people from different walks of life in performances. For instance, Mohammad Ibran, a flute seller, Nilanjan Saha, a sandwich seller, Sourojyoti Chatterjee, a street musician who plays the violin and National Award-winning patachitra artist Kalpana Chitrakar performed at the music fest. Nuruddin Chitrakar sang a beautiful song on Corona awareness. Subol Das Bairagya and his team rendered some soul-stirring spiritual songs. Apart from him, Anil Mahanto, who sells flute at the Dum Dum Metro station, played a few of Tagore’s compositions on the flute. That’s not it. Sidhu the frontman of Cactus sang their famous ‘Badhu Re’, Sourojyoti-Krishnendu known as Third Stage performed their original song.
