Jammu and Kashmir Govt orders transfers and postings of 66 KAS officers
JAMMU: The J&K Government today ordered transfer and postings of 66 KAS officers.
As per an order issued by the GAD, Munir-ul-Islam, Director, Archives, Archaeology and Museums, J&K, has been transferred and posted as Chief Executive Officer/Secretary, J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, vice Muzafer Ahmad Pir, who shall report to the General Administration Department, for further posting.
Rahul Pandey, Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, holding additional charge of Director, Information, J&K, shall also hold the charge of Director, Archives, Archaeology and Museums, J&K and Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
Srinagar: In connection with International Womens Day, celebrated on 8th of March every year, a number of functions to commemorate this day were today held across all the districts of Kashmir division.
On the occasion, seminars, debates and other related programmes were organized besides women achievers were also felicitated by the respective district administrations.
At Srinagar, the District Level Centre for Women, Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Srinagar, in collaboration with Srinagar Smart City Limited today organised a function to celebrate International Womens Day at Government College for Women (GCW) Nawakadal, here.
The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary, who is also Chairman MSK Srinagar and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Srinagar Smart City Limited was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Srinagar: Series of activities to raise awareness among the masses with respect to road safety marked the culmination of National Road Safety Month-2021 themed ‘Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha’ across all the districts of Kashmir.
On the occasion, Valediction function was held at Srinagar and at all the districts to observe the conclusion of the month long awareness drive that was kick started on 18 January, 2021.
During this period, a number of activities including debates, quiz, essay and painting competitions, distribution of pamphlets and print material, blood donation camp, fitness mela, walkathon, rallies to raise mass awareness among the drivers and the public about road safety norms besides health check up camps were conducted by the Regional Transport Authority, Kashmir and Astt. Regional Transport Offices of all the districts.

Anti Corruption Bureau produced chargesheet in case FIR No. 48/2015 in the Court of Special Judge Anti Corruption Kashmir Srinagar.
The instant case was registered on the directions of the Hon’ble High Court of J&K at Srinagar vide order dated 28-10-2015 in PIL No. 159/2002 titled Syed Tahir Geelani V/S State and others in light of the report submitted by the Commissioners, appointed by the Hon’ble court to monitor activities in LAWDA. Investigation conducted into the matter revealed violations of permissions granted by LAWDA or violation of Master plan or without obtaining permission from LAWDA, have taken place which are indicative of the fact that enforcement wing of LAWDA has been acting in collusion with law breakers and facilitated illegal constructions.
