Kota Kinabalu: In West Malaysia, where the practice of issuing the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) started 15 years ago, there were more cases of disgruntled home buyers suing architects who issued CCC for property defects.
The Malaysia Green Building Council (malaysiaGBC) Sabah Chapter called on the general public as well as professionals to join the council and continue advocating green and sustainable living in Sabah.
“Together, we will have more strength and a louder voice in society to continue advocating green and sustainable lifestyles in Sabah and the world for the future generation to come,” the council said in a statement, Sunday.
The council said it has been working closely with the Local Government and Housing Ministry and City Hall (DBKK) to formalise green policies and initiatives to assist the State Government in deriving friendly and conducive policies for green buildings in Sabah.
“We shall continue to engage with professional bodies and policy makers to transform and to embrace green practices and sustainable designs within a built environment in Sabah,” it said in a statement, Wednesday.
