Our Correspondent Mokokchung, Oct. 12 (EMN): The Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) Trophy 2022 was kicked off by Aotula T Imchen, SP Mokokchung, at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung on October 11. Imchen in her speech, lauded the MDFA for successfully hosting the tournament for the service of the public and also successfully hosting the Dr.T Ao Trophy. She also said the tournament was a great platform to promote and motivate grassroots level participation while improving the level of the players to strive towards playing in state, national and international levels. “We all know football is not just a beautiful game but it is also an emotion for many people. And it should be the collective desire of all that there is unity through sports,” she said, adding that sports is the medium to develop relationships and friendships which allows people to strive and compete hard with the spirit of sportsmanship.
