Delhi Police registered a case against police personnel for creating a brawl and hampering police inquiry inside Mahendra Park Police Station, officials said.

In an exclusive interview, a firebrand NCP leader and former minister Mr Jitendra Awhad claimed that the molestation charge against him has hurt him badly. However, he declared that he would continue his fight in future.

Aurangabad: A video of a girl jumping off a moving autorickshaw is making rounds on social media. Reports suggest that the auto driver tried to molest the girl and she pushed him and jumped out of the moving vehicle and fell in the middle of the road. In her escape bid, she sustained severe injuries to her head. The girl was returning home after finishing her tuition classes. 

Mr Awhad’s move shocked the party as senior leaders including state party chief Mr Jayant Patil, leader of opposition Mr Ajit Pawar and party MP Ms Supriya Sule rallied behind him with an appeal not to resign.

The accused in the girl student molestation case has been remanded in judicial custody for 15 days.

According to the Malad police, the complaint was lodged by a 25-year-old woman on Friday regarding molestation by her gym trainer.

WAD accuses authorities concerned of failure in safeguarding society against sexual offences and crimes.

The student initially struggled to file an FIR and recalled how there was no lady officer available to assist her. Accused has now been arrested.
