The Unionville High School swim team’s meet against Great Valley Friday on Senior Night not only was special for the Longhorn seniors competing, but was particularly poignant for the memory of their one-time teammate, Emma Hill.
The West Chester Rustin swim team opened the new year with a double victory against host Great Valley at Immaculata University Wednesday, winning both the boys and girls meets by a comfortable margin.
Last winter, the Chester County high school swimming scene featured a District 1 champion in Conestoga and the Daily Local News Girls Swimmer of the Year in Downingtown East senior Alexa Fulton. The Pioneers lost four All-American swimmers to graduation, and Fulton is now swimming for the University of Texas, but there are plenty of other fine swimmers to watch in Chester County this winter.
