Select Board
Two seats were left open for Board of Selectmen after two incumbents - John Parent and Joseph Durant - decided not to run again.
“I am excited to start the next phase of this journey and serve the residents of Hudson,” wrote Shawn Sadowski on a campaign Facebook page. He also thanked those who helped with the campaign, his family and the voters. “I will promise to do my best to help Hudson move forward and continue to improve.”
Sadowski, who has lived in Hudson for most of his life, said in an interview a few weeks ago he hoped to tackle tax rates, the school system, diversity issues and water and sewer rates, and planned to work on community outreach from the Board of Selectmen.
Hudson Board of Selectmen, School Committee hopefuls share goals if elected
For School Committee, four candidates are vying for three seats, including incumbent Glen Maston.
The election is May 10. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
SELECT BOARD
Favorite thing about town: The people and small community feel of town, the open space
If elected, would prioritize: Adequate staffing in public safety departments without burdening taxpayers
Key takeaway: “I’m going to tell you the truth. I’m not going to sugarcoat it. I’m going to tell you exactly how it is and work toward a solution on whatever issues might arise that people bring to the Select Board. Just being involved and being in the know, bringing a new voice, new ideas, a new concept to Town Hall, being transparent, being a voice for everyone in Hudson, from one end to the other.”
