THOUSANDS of colourful knitted angels will be delivered to local schools and will pop up in various shops during the festive period throughout Dunfermline town centre. Alongside this, there will be an Angel Trail with 14 angels displayed in shop windows and, through the magic of QR codes, anyone will be able to hear the Christmas story told through pictures and videos. The project has been brought together by a number of West Fife churches who have been busy knitting away throughout Covid restrictions. Minister of St Leonard s, the Rev Monika Redman, explained: “The original plan had been to ‘angel bomb’ the town centre, whereby the public could take an angel home, but, due to the virus, they are now being redirected to various local schools and community settings in a COVID-secure way.
