Tuesday’s session had the grains lower across the board with most of the selling tied to Monday’s Crop Progress report. The report showed better crop ratings than expected.

This time last year, the U.S. Drought Monitor Map told a drastically different story about the drought in California.

Data acquired by Newsweek showed the stark differences in wildfires occurring in 2023 compared to last year.

A wet winter in California eased much of the states drought, but the resulting plant growth was expected to provide ample fuel for wildfires this summer.

“It doesn’t take long for a child or pet to suffer from a heat-related illness or death. And cracking the window doesn’t really do anything for that. Make sure to never ever leave a pet or a child in the car,” said Lydia Jaja, a meteorologist with the National Weather Services of St. Louis.
