New Scholarships for Monmouth-Roseville High School Students

Western Illinois University alumnus John Elliott has established two $12,000 scholarships in loving memory of his wife who recently passed away. The Joann Amos Elliott Memorial Scholarships will be available for two students from Monmouth-Roseville High School who have applied and been accepted to attend Western Illinois University for the 2023-24 academic school year. The scholarships will be payable over a four-year period at $3,000 per year.

Stabbing occurs at Monmouth-Roseville High School parking lot

The altercation took place at approximately 11:56 a.m. between two juveniles, sending one of them to the hospital.

Student fight leads to stab wound at Monmouth-Roseville

Monmouth Police were called to Monmouth Roseville High School on Wednesday afternoon in regard to a student stabbing. Police say the stab wound is not life-threatening although the victim is being treated at OSF Holy Family Medical Center. A release from MPD says that they determined there was a fight between two students which resulted in one juvenile being stabbed. Officers responded just before noon to the parking lot in the 300 block of West 1st Avenue.
