Scene from "Stealing Chaplin." Fair use. British director Paul Tanter’s droll Stealing Chaplin may be a comedy that will keep audiences laughing from beginning to end. Arcos smothers its hilltop, tumbling down all sides like the train of a wedding dress. The labyrinthine old centre is a photographer’s feast. Touted a spiritual successor to the 1995 dark fantasy FPS, I was tempted to just look up some details and run with it in a vaguely official sounding games writer tone for a bit, but truthfully, I never played Hexen. I jumped into Graven because it looked a bit like Monolith’s 1997 game Blood and a bit like David Szymanski’s 2018 game Dusk. It’s not actually entirely like eit...

Get Back — is poised to make everyone totally rewrite our legend of those famous mop-top badasses.  For years, devoted Beatles fans have known that the beginning of the end for the Fab Four was the recording of the album and accompanying documentary film, Let It Be. This is the moment tensions were the highest, and even though the Beatles knocked-out Abbey Road in 1969; we’ve been told that doing  Let It Be was such a drag that the album was shelved, and released later, in 1970. So, t...
