HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Emergency crews extinguished a fire near Moores Mill Road on Wednesday.
No one was injured in the home at 190 Bermuda Lakes Drive. Officials say the house was struck by lightning. It is not considered a total loss as most of the damage is to the top left portion of the roof.
Hazel Green, Meridianville, Moores Mill and New Market fire teams all responded.

CANAAN Voters at Canaan’s annual Town Meeting Saturday night moved through a 30-article warrant in little more than 30 minutes, approving a $1.36 million budget and tweaking a couple of proposed expenditures.
Thirty-five people turned out for the meeting, held at the fire station, according to Town Clerk Denise Stetkis.
Elections are scheduled for 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the Town Office.
Incumbent selectmen Jeffrey Clarke and Daniel Harriman are among four people running for three 0ne-year seats on the Board of Selectmen. Mary-Anne MacArthur and Charles Worcester also are candidates for the seats.
A Bell County man was charged with multiple felonies after he reportedly tried to flee from Temple Police in a stolen vehicle.
Brandon Lee Fletcher, 35, was arrested Monday after officers were told a stolen 2017 Chevrolet Silverado was located at Buc-eeâs, 4155 N. General Bruce Drive, police spokeswoman Alejandra Arreguin said.
When officers arrived at Buc-eeâs, they were told the vehicle was moved to the Bluebonnet Estates mobile home park in East Temple. There, they encountered Fletcher in the vehicle. He initially complied with officers and showed his hands to them. However, he then closed the vehicle door and started the ignition.

BEL AIR, MD What used to be a 7-Eleven on Churchville Road at Moores Mill Road will be reopening Thursday under a different name.
Moore s Mill Convenience will sell beer, wine, Coke and Pepsi products, packaged snacks, bread, milk, candy and health products like Tylenol and Aspirin. It will also have a coffee bar, owner Bipin Patel told the Harford County Liquor Control board Wednesday morning.
Patel s lease had ended with 7-Eleven at the end of November, and the business closed Nov. 30. It had been open there for four years, he said.
