MOORHEAD According to court documents, when Moorhead Police arrived at a southside apartment building, they were told the suspect had assaulted a woman he knew, was breaking windows, and had a hammer. One officer drew his duty weapon, the other drew his taser before breaking down the apartment door, where they found the suspect, Jerry Yonkedeh, unwilling to comply to commands. When giving a lawful order for someone to do something and they are not doing it, they are obstructing and not cooperating, said Moorhead Police Department Sargent Scott Kostohryz.
