Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Goa's new international airport today to boost air connectivity in the country.

Goas Mopa International airport has been built with modern amenities and design and will be capable of handling 4.4 million passengers per year in its first phase.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Mopa International Airport in Goa on Sunday in order to improve connectivity in the country.

Developed at a cost of around Rs 2,870 crores, the airport has been built on the theme of sustainable infrastructure. The airport has a solar power plant, green buildings, LED lights on the runway, rainwater harvesting, and a state-of-the-art sewage treatment plant with recycling facilities, among other such facilities.
