The Morning Cruise Replay - A Fruitful Friday

There was some fruitful conversations on The Morning Cruise today. Dave got us started by telling us about a lemon that just sold at auction for a high price. Carmen followed that up with a recommendation for Avocado mash for those that tend to forget the avocados they bought before they go bad.  Bill then turned to the topic of marriage and how grace within the union can help the marriage grow in its later years and keep it from going sour. That seed of an idea was planted by Paul David Tripp in his book on marriage. And it takes tending to it daily to make it work.  For us to grow the radio station, it takes a bountiful amount of listeners giving towards FriendRaiser which is just over 3 weeks away!  Dave shared a sweet moment from the latest season of American Idol. The show hasn't even started yet, but a video of one audition is going viral as it features a contestant singing, "There Was Jesus" by Zach Williams and Dolly Parton. That contestant was  given a bigger surprise after her audition.  Bill challenged Dave and Carmen to a brand new game he brought to show "based on popular demand" with what he called "Riddle Me This Friday".  Dave seemed a little bit sour towards the idea that Carmen had about getting 100 people to give towards FriendRaiser this morning. Have you ever had fresh, homemade Strawberry Jam? Bill is excited to try some hopefully later today. But he has to be careful to not overanalyze it.  Have you ever had dates stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in bacon? Dave had some over the holidays and Carmen shared a couple of recipes using those ingredients this morning.  Have you ever tried propolis to fend off a virus? A few people around the station are under the weather so Carmen brought propolis to help them fight off the bug.  Have you ever thrown away brand new makeup? Carmend did just that and shared the story  with us. Today was the final episode of The Morning Cruise for 2023 as we begin 100 hours of Christmas music tonight at midnight!  As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, Dave, Bill and Carmen spent the morning sharing some of the interesting things they've found recently.  Bill wants to institute an Icelandic tradition. Dave told us about one man who found a 4-carat diamond he thought was glass. Bill shared a devotional book from his friend Justin Holcomb, that he wanted to give to a history buff.  We've been finding sugar ants around the office lately with all the sugary treats around. Yesterday, The Jayar Show, brought more sugar in with their gingerbread houses and Carmen was on high alert. And we've also found a scam page posing as The Jayar Show. If you get a message saying you've won a prize, don't click on it! There was a lot of information to take into account on The Morning Cruise today.  Carmen shared the reasoning behind a new logo for Eddie Bauer even though the old ways are making a comeback.  Bill's family felt like they were back in nature this weekend as a couple of appliances went down. So now he's got to take a look at his bank account to see what he can do to replace those items.  Any time Bill starts a conversation with "It's Time For...", we take into account that his alliterative topic headline is something that we've never done before.  We've got a lot of accounting ahead as we look to T-Shirts For Turkeys in 2 weeks. With a lot of freshly delivered shirts on hand to give you in exchange for a frozen or paper turkey from you.  Paige Brown's take on Scripture is something you really should take into account. The last message from her Fall 2023 Bible Study on Jonah will only be available until tomorrow at 11:59pm.  Baseball fans will be looking to add a unique piece of baseball history to their collections as Mickey Mantle's childhood home is being sold for fractional ownership.  On the other hand, one Georgia family is up in arms after a company demolished their home before they took a look at the address.  Kids have a lot of tough questions to ask and Child Evangelism Fellowship has taken a few of those questions into account and answered them in a booklet and video.  In only his second time playing golf, Brandon Lake had to pull out his phone and get an account of his reaction to hitting a hole-in-one.  A Chattanooga wildfire has impacted much of the area including their local Christian radio station. Bill told us about that and suggested we take that into account for our prayers.  How often do you take the Roman Empire into account?
